About Us
Mike Hosey is the President and Co-Owner of Hosey-Lancour Construction. Mike is a 1978 graduate from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Science. He brings more than 40 years of experience in construction to his leadership of the company. Mike's previous experience includes starting as a construction laborer, progressing to carpenter, field engineer, junior estimator, superintendent, project manager, vice president and president with years of training in the construction industry with prominent Southeast general contractors such as Batson-Cook Construction and Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors. He founded Hosey Construction in 1994.
Mike has always believed in being an asset to the community that supports him. He has been a member of the Auburn Kiwanis Club since 1996 where he served for years on the board and as President of the club in 2002. Mike served on the Board of Directors for Camp Smile-A-Mile for 5 years and headed many service projects there. He was on the Compass Bank Advisory Board of Directors from 2000 to 2003. His desire to give back to Auburn University led to an invitation to teach college courses part time in the Auburn University School of Building Science where he was recognized as the Outstanding Faculty Member in 2007-2008.;
Jim Lancour is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Hosey-Lancour Construction. Jim has been with Hosey Construction since 2001 and became a partner in 2014. He brings more than 20 years of experience in construction to the company. Jim's previous experience includes starting as a construction laborer, progressing to carpenter, assistant superintendent, superintendent, general superintendent and vice president with years of training in the construction industry with prominent Southeast general contractors such as Edifice Incorporated and Brice Building Company.With a strong belief in family, Jim has spent countless hours volunteering with youth programs for the past 13 years as a coach and a five year term as president of Russell County Baseball League from 2003 through 2008.
Linda Vogt is the office manager for Hosey-Lancour Construction. Linda has been with the company since 2002 starting as the bookkeeper and progressing to become the office manager. She has more than 30 years' experience in the accounting, data and administrative management field. Linda's previous experience includes 14 years with the US Army Corps of Engineers as Budget Analyst, where she received the Army Achievement Medal for Civil Service for her assistance in implementing the new CEFMS program.
